Public Education
	Social Action: endeavours are aimed at helping survivors cope with the trauma of sexual violence and with other issues surrounding their quality of life. These endeavours are also aimed at education that contributes to violence prevention. These action action issues include: fighting racism demonstrating and advocating for a woman’s right to choose advocating for and supporting women with disabilities addressing homophobia, poverty and harassment coordinating special events in the community assisting with public events and information booths responding to media news and press releases   Public Speaking: SAC Kingston is committed to providing experienced staff and volunteers for various speaking engagements to schools, professional and community organizations, and special interest groups. Presentations are designed to suit a variety of audience needs. Topics Include: Sexual Assault Sexual Harassment Child Sexual Abuse Healthy Relationships Human Rights/Anti-Oppression Eating Disorders relating to Trauma HIV/AIDS STI’s The Law/Consent The History of Feminism How to be an Advocate Date Rape Drugs Ritual Abuse Sexual Orientation and Identity Elder Abuse Sexual Abuse and Disabilities Pornography Self Injury Ethnicity and Sexual Assault The History of Rape Crisis Centres in Canada Media Awareness     Resource Distribution: SAC Kingston’s extensive resource library of both print and video materials.
