| Our Mandate |
| The Sexual Assault Centre Kingston is a Not-For-Profit, Charitable Organization mandated to provide services primarily to women, aged 16 years and older, who have experienced sexual violence. |
| The Sexual Assault Centre Kingston will: |
Provide emergency, crisis, short term, and long term supportive counselling, and information, referral, and advocacy services for survivors of sexual violence
Organize, participate in, and/or support public education initiatives and community events designed to increase individual and community awareness of issues relating to violence against women and children
Advocate for social change which will contribute to the eradication of violence against women and children |

| Our Beliefs |
All people have the right to lives free from the threat or experience of violence and exploitation.
Women have the right and ability to be in control of their lives and to make their own choices.
We have a responsibility to respect choices made by women.
Services for survivors of sexual violence must be informed and guided by the experiences, insights, and needs of the survivors. |
